Clinical Director

CLINICAL DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
 The Clinical Director is responsible for providing 24-hour management and oversight of all clinical services of the agency. Oversees the entire admission process and/or clinical intake process. The Clinical Director is responsible for providing effective leadership to the clinical and behavioral tech staff, has knowledge of the organization, provides marketing/outreach support for the agency, and directs all clinical activities within the agency in accordance with Accreditation standards, State Licensing regulations and Federal confidentiality regulations. The Clinical Director will be responsible for ensuring staff follows all standards and regulations, policies and procedures as well as assisting the Director and Assistant Director in process improvement and policy development.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
Job duties of our Clinical Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for working with the Counselors and other staff members in overseeing and managing the day to day clinical program/scheduling/activities
  • Facilitate weekly clinical meetings to discuss client cases and treatment/discharge planning.
  • Perform orientation/training for all new clinical staff hired.
  • Participate and engage in all leadership meetings, including Performance Improvement Meetings.
  • Work closely with all staff members to ensure that all documentation in EMR is accurate and completed timely.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of the agency’s policies and procedures and works with the Director for the setting and attainment of the clinical program’s goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining a unified, high performing interdisciplinary team.
  • Responsible for scheduling staff, approving and monitoring staff training, absences and ensuring adequate program coverage
  • Communicates effectively with clinical and medical staff to create a cohesive team
  • Make recommendations to the Director regarding employee advancement and retention
  • Interview, hire and terminate employees with advice and consent from the Director;
  • Manages the training program for clinical staff to ensure that all services are being provided as required
  • Interpreting and implementing policies and procedures regarding approval and non-approval of new admissions and readmissions
  • Work with Director on performance improvement projects and ensure completion of all weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports as required
  • Assist and make recommendations to the Director regarding program design, development, and implementation;
  • Report to Director any unusual incidents or behaviors that could indicate other problems
  • Assist Director in program and policy development
  • Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of ClearVision.
  • All other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, counseling or related field as required by DDAP. Must also complete DDAP Clinical Supervision Training.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Minimum 2 years managerial and program development experience working in social services field i.e., substance abuse, mental health, co-occurring conditions
  • Experience with knowledge of relevant state regulatory and accreditation requirements and State Licensure.
